The Power of Acceptance

The start to creating lasting change is reality acceptance. Often, we add suffering to our very real pain because we are fighting our reality (our pain), wishing for the past or the future. However, the key to internal peace in the present is acceptance.

Acceptance is not apathy but rather empowers us to create our desired future.

Acceptance means embracing we will never be perfect and that our circumstances will never be perfect. Acceptance has the power to free us from self-blame and self-criticism. It allows us to identify realistic and healthy expectations for ourselves and our future, thus decreasing our disappointment.
